Spring Flowers

It’s spring!  One of our favorite times of the year has arrived with perfect, subtle weather and spring flowers blooming everywhere.  Whether you’re getting married in the spring, or just need ideas for lovely flowers to brighten up your home, some of the most wonderful flowers are in bloom.

Ranunculus are my very favorite flower.  They come in an array of gorgeous colors and are simply lovely to look at.  Ranunculus are the perfect flower for a spring wedding bouquet, or to decorate a colorful table for a gathering at your home.

Anenomes have a unique look and are a fantastic flower either displayed alone loosely in a container, or as a unique addition in an arrangement of other spring flowers.  For some reason, they remind me of a feisty little flower – fun and unexpected.

Tulips are probably one of the most well known spring flowers.  The array of colors endless, and the thick green leaves only enhance the look of this flower when displayed in an arrangement.  I fell in love with Tulips during a visit to The Keukenhof Gardens in Amsterdam many years ago.  If you haven’t seen the gardens, it’s a must for one’s bucket list.

Hyacinth reminds me of my grandmother.  She used to grow them every spring and the fragrance filled her home.  It’s  such a friendly, light flower and is always in my home during the spring.

Daffodils symbolize friendship, and naturally add an inviting and warm atmosphere in any home.   They work well both indoors and outdoors – we especially love to place daffodils our our porch in the spring to add a welcome touch for guests.
