Unique Wedding Venue in Downtown Phoenix

Here’s a sneak peak of how The Croft Downtown can transform. Let us take you on a tour of our unique venue space in downtown Phoenix. The team at Serendipity Cinematography captured all the things we love about The Croft Downtown so beautifully. In the video you’ll see how the chandeliers in our Abbey room give the space an intimate and romantic vibe for weddings and how our vintage pews lend the room a classic feel.

The beautiful exposed brick walls, wood beamed ceilings and concrete floors inside of the venue allow for décor to be left as minimalistic or extravagant as the client prefers for their wedding day. This wedding’s natural and romantic feel contrasts so well against the industrial space.

We adore how this couple utilized our outdoor space with a food truck (yum!) and a red carpet to welcome their guests. Fun touches like these allow each client to make their event one that reflects their individual personalities.

Last but certainly not least, the Cheshire room is the perfect backdrop for a reception. The soft seating around the dance floor in the video is the perfect touch to make guests feel comfortable and to give the space a relaxed, modern vibe. Angelic Grove (parent company to The Croft) loved creating this dreamy, picturesque wedding for a beautiful couple and we could not be more excited about the home it found in The Croft Downtown!

It’s A Party: Bollywood Style!

Themed parties are a great way to liven up any event!

One of our favorite events to date is a Bollywood themed anniversary party that we did for a client at their private residence.  Imported tents, bright colors, mood lighting and lush florals created the atmosphere for guests while entertainment such as flash tattoos, belly dancers and contortion artists brought the party to life.

Angelic Grove teamed up with the ever so talented Jeff Leatham.  By using vast amounts of floral imported from all over the world, the party was given the “Leatham Touch” while Angelic Grove coordinated the imported tents, entertainment, catering and specific details to complete the big event!

Take a look at the details!

Floral Trends: 2015

Thanks to Pinterest, Instagram, and blogs on the web, brides are seeing many options for bouquets rather than going with the traditional all rose, structured bouquet.  With new trends each season and endless possibilities on the web, here are a few of our “not so basic” bouquets that we designed and are hoping too see again with this years trends in 2015!

1040_ContrisPattersonW3231ELWe expect to see the ever so romantic, lush and classic bouquets filled with various textures of the favorited Peonies, Austin Garden roses, Hydrangea, and Ranunculas in soft neutral tones.  Similar to the bouquet pictured above.

I_0065Loose structured bouquets have been a favorite trend for 2015.  Orchids, as pictured above, provide a clean and sophisticated look to the bouquet while creating a modern twist.

JT-0595A fresh picked bouquet from the garden is one of the biggest trends of 2015.  As succulents have been popular through the past few years, especially in Arizona, you can achieve this look by using floral with similar shades and flower types that would be found in a garden in the location you are getting married.  Also make sure that the tie on the bouquet is loose and that the stems are natural.

Another trend that is not going anywhere anytime soon are floral crowns!  Crowns and halos are perfect for bridal parties and you can even incorporate veils for the bride!  As crowns and halos come in all sizes, colors, and flowers, we don’t see a reason to not have them at weddings!

The Weekend of LOVE

Who said Valentine’s Day should only be celebrated on the one day?  This weekend was filled with lots of love on Friday, Saturday and now today as many couples became engaged last night!  Did you know that Valentine’s Day is almost tied with Christmas Eve for the most popular day to get engaged on?  We want to know what ring you would say “Yes” to?

As we had many beautiful arrangements sent out Friday and Saturday for loved ones, we are now off this morning to a wedding!

Not only is El Chorro iconic for their Sunday Brunch, they are also know for their beautiful wedding venue.  The venue has views of Camelback Mountain and a beautiful ballroom filled with chandeliers.  Since El Chorro was first a restaurant, you can guarantee that the food will blow you away.  We think its the perfect venue for an intimate and romantic wedding this weekend.  Here is one of our weddings at El Chorro, stay tuned for pictures for more pictures from this weekend!

Happy Weekend of LOVE!

50 Shades of Grey

With “50 Shades of Grey” being one of the best selling novels in the country, if not the world, fans are burning with anticipation for the movie to hit screens on Valentines Day!

Our team at Angelic Grove is excited but BEYOND inspired!

If we were to have a “Fifty Shades of Grey”, here are our favorite picks…

Vera Wang’s Spring 2014 collection has “Fifty Shades” all over it will off white satin, black leather corsets, and black leather gloves.  This gown is definitely for a bride who wants to make a lasting impression.

Black calla lilies are classic, modern, edgy, and timeless.  As all white flowers have been a trend that won’t seem to go away, changing up personal floral with black instead of white is always unique and stunning.

As Christian’s tie is an iconic symbol in the book, it is a necessity for the groom and groomsmen to adorn different shadows of grey ties.

Too add a pop of color, the Christian Louboutin nail polish is the perfect way to accessorize “Christian” style for the ladies.

To add some bling for your bridal party  and to “cover your wrists” with a beautiful diamond cuffs, just as Christian did for Anastasia.

“Tying” things up, “Fifty Shades” style, we love the leather “strappy” stilettos paired with the bridal gown and rhinestoned stilettos for the bridal party to soften things up.  The red bottoms scream passion and add color to the “shades of grey”.

Add chandeliers to glam up the reception and add instant elegance to any ballroom!  The more, the better!

Be sure to add various shades of grey, black, and white to create a romantic yet striking atmosphere to dazzle guests as they enter.  Play with textures with your floral and linens and of course, add red lighting to create a “red room of passion”!

Super Bowl XLIX – The Duel in the Desert

The kick off for Super Bowl XLIX is just two weeks away!

We are excited to watch defending champions, The Seattle Seahawks take on Super Bowl vets, The New England Patriots here in the valley!

With both teams having loyal and traveling fans, you can bet on Arizona being a full house here in the next few weeks.

With performances by Katy Perry, Lenny Kravitz, Idina Menzel, and John Legend at Super Bowl, and parties all over the valley such as The DirectTV Super Fan Festival, The 10th Annual Legends for Charity Dinner, The Playboy Party at The W Scottsdale, Bud Light House of Whatever, Super Ball 2015, and The Maxim Super Bowl Party… just to name a few.. will have fans and celebrities pouring in to Arizona!

Our guesses are that Super Bowl fans, celebrities, and athletes will be spotted “in the scene” at such local hot spots (and some of our favorite places!) such as the bar in Mastro’s City Hall, the dining room in Steak 44, the rooftop in Dominick’s, the bar in Sumo Maya, and of course, the nightclubs of Old Town Scottsdale.

Not only can locals keep an eye out for athletes and celebrities, make sure to keep an eye out for Angelic Grove events around the valley for the big game!

A Chic Beachfront Bridal Shower – Laguna Beach, California

When it comes to event design, it’s our  absolute passion!

Traveling and seeing a new environment, cultures brings such inspiration that we use in our creativity and design.

We recently designed an elegant bridal shower off the cliffs of beautiful Laguna Beach California. With many distinctive hotels to choose from,

Montage Resort  was the perfect place for this particular intimate bridal shower.

The Montage is set on an oceanfront bluff with sweeping panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The craftsman style architecture  is surrounded by lush green landscapes and the natural beauty of California’s gorgeous wildlife.

We chose the Studio Restaurant lawn. We wanted to set the bridal shower in an area where all the guests could enjoy the special occasion amongst the fabulous views of the ocean.

The lavish white table was surrounded with contemporary ghost chairs with accenting classic Louis Chairs in the center and on each end. The floral centerpieces gave a feminine – modern touch to the elegant setting. The centerpieces were designed with a selection of lush white hydrangea, Quicksand roses, delicate pink spray roses and set in a sleek  mirror container.

Floral’s  provided by Bloom Box Design of Costa Mesa, California.

Guests also enjoyed a signature Alessandra cocktails. The custom cocktails contained  St. Germain, sparkling wine, soda water and muddled strawberries. A signature cocktail isn’t complete without the adorable Sugarfina Champagne candy and Voluspa champagne candle favors to go with such a sweet brunch on a sunny California day.

There are no limits where we can’t go to design and create what we love doing. For inquiries on destination event design, please contact us at info@angelicgrove.com

A New Year in Marsala

Pantone recently revealed 2015’s color of the year. Marsala, the seductive hue of subtle hues draw us into comfort and warmth. Much like an aged wine that gives Marsala it’s name,  this color inhibits a natural earthiness that is equally balanced and appealing for both men and women.  This year Marsala will be on a leading color for weddings. Incorporating floral that hold natural hues of the luxurious yet grounding hue will add pure elegance to bouquets, tablescapes and ceremonies.
